Pino Insegno è l’esempio più eclatante. Ma, purtroppo, ce ne sono parecchi altri: Caterina Balivo, Serena Bortone, Max Giusti e Federico Quaranta. Tutti titolari di programmi nuovi o pseudo-nuovi che, in questo inizio di stagione televisiva, hanno cominciato con il piede sbagliato o si sono rivelati dei veri e propri disastri dal punto di vista degli ascolti. Dati che, al di là dei numeri, significano un rifiuto chiaro da parte degli spettatori. In molti hanno incolpato il governo di destra per i flop perché questo palinsesto è il primo frutto delle scelte fatte dai nuovi vertici Rai cambiati in corsa - rispetto alla scadenza naturale che sarebbe avvenuta la prossima estate - per volere della premier Giorgia Meloni.
Chi tiene in piedi gli ascolti
Dunque, premesso che la stagione è appena cominciata e c’è ancora tempo per rimettere il treno sui binari giusti, un fatto è chiaro: i programmi battezzati da questo management stanno andando male, invece quelli classici - come “Tale e quale”, “Reazione a catena”, “Affari tuoi”, “La vita in diretta” - continuano a mietere successo e tengono in piedi le medie Auditel insieme alla grande fiction (vedi “Imma Tataranni” che ieri sera ha svettato al 25,2 per cento di share con ben 4.111.000 spettatori). Certo - rispondono gli interessati - bisogna dare tempo agli spettatori di abituarsi ai nuovi show. Ma, se si parte male come ha fatto il “Mercante in fiera” che è sceso anche sotto il due per cento di share (ieri sera il 2,3), c’è poco da recuperare. Il flop del giochino di Raidue era già scritto sulla carta: un programma vecchio (andava già male nel 2006 su Italia Uno) affidato a un conduttore come Pino Insegno a cui dovrebbe essere attribuiti altri tipi di trasmissioni. Il fatto brutto è che, con questi risultati, l’attore ha sottoscritto le accuse di essere tornato in Rai grazie alla “raccomandazione” dell’amica Giorgia Meloni. Ora si dovrà vedere se il suo giochino verrà chiuso e, soprattutto, se gli verrà affidato a gennaio il molto più importante compito di guidare “L’eredità” nel preserale del primo canale.
Non è andata meglio a un altro volto televisivo come Max Giusti, “Fake Show” ieri sera (2 ottobre) è rimasto inchiodato al 3,7 per cento: poco per un programma di prima serata di Raidue. In questo caso l’errore sta proprio nel format: sconclusionato, senza una linea narrativa, quasi uno spettacolo da teatro di provincia.
Balivo al 12%, mentre Serena Bortone viaggiava al 16%
Anche per Caterina Balivo, nonostante la sua lunga esperienza da conduttrice, non è “La Volta buona”: il suo ritorno in Rai dopo alcuni anni di volontario allontanamento dalla tv pubblica non ha brillato; il programma del primo pomeriggio di Raiuno viaggia - per il momento - su una share troppo bassa (circa il 12 per cento), soprattutto se si confronta con quello che andava in onda nelle scorse stagioni (“Oggi è un altro giorno”) condotto da Serena Bortone. Ma anche la conduttrice rimandata a Raitre si sta misurando con le difficoltà di impostare una nuova trasmissione in uno spazio di palinsesto molto complicato, il sabato e la domenica all’ora di cena. E si vede ampiamente superata dall’ex titolare di quella fascia oraria, Massimo Gramellini, migrato su La7 che con le sue “Parole” viaggia intorno al 5/6 per cento di share. Anche perché la rete di Cairo, con l’innesto di Gramellini, è arrivata a completare un palinsesto omogeneo, tutto indirizzato verso un certo tipo di pubblico colto e orientato a sinistra. Mentre, Raitre, allo stato attuale, è un frullato di tante cose, senza un’idea precisa che non sia quella di aggiungere idee di destra a quelle di sinistra. Anche “Il provinciale” di Federico Quaranta non ha retto all’impatto della prima serata (domenica scorsa ha fatto solo il 3,8 per cento) e quindi si conferma più adatto al day time o alla seconda serata.
Non è un disastro ma un segnale
Tutto questo si traduce in una perdita complessiva di punti di share (che è l’unico modo in cui si possono fare i confronti tra stagioni): intendiamoci non è un disastro, ma comunque un segnale. E poi i conti si faranno a dicembre quando gli investitori pubblicitari vedranno se sono state rispettate le promesse. I dati parlano chiaro: in prime time nell’ultima settima di settembre (da domenica 24 a sabato 30) le tre reti generaliste (Uno, Due e Tre) hanno perso tutte insieme quasi tre punti percentuali rispetto alla corrispondente settimana dello scorso anno: 29,7 per cento contro il 32,4. E’ l’ammiraglia a essere scesa di più: al 19,3 rispetto al 22,1 del 2022: débâcle dovuta soprattutto al 15 per cento di share fatto dallo speciale di “Reazione a catena” contro l’altissimo 30 di “Tú sí que vales” di Canale 5. Raitre, a onor del vero, rimane sullo stesso livello di ascolti dell’anno scorso, anzi aumenta leggermente: 5,7 contro contro il 5,2. Stesso discorso per Raidue: 4,8 contro il 5,0.
Se si prende in considerazione l’intera giornata, la perdita complessiva delle tre reti generaliste è un po’ inferiore, due punti percentuali: 28,8 contro il 30,7. Ed è sempre il primo canale a soffrire.
In tutto questo un altro dato è interessante (che però non cambia l’analisi sulla comparazione di share con la scorsa stagione): nell’ultima settimana di settembre la platea complessiva (cioè tutti gli spettatori che guardano la tv) è calata di più di un milione di persone in prima serata, complice le belle serate calde: 18.900.000 rispetto ai 20.125.000 del 2022.
In attesa di "Ballando"
Ricordiamoci, comunque, che in Rai, devono ancora arrivare corazzate come “Ballando con le stelle” e programmi importanti come “Report” e “Avanti popolo”. Anche se su quest’ultimo già si addensano nubi sull’accoglienza da parte degli spettatori. Comunque, una partita tutta da giocare.
