Tempo di tintarella con l’abbronzatura sempre più ricercata con ogni mezzo e spesso ai danni della salute quando il segreto, invece, è preparare la pelle al sole in modo naturale.
“La pelle d’estate va protetta dai gravi danni dei raggi UV non solo con creme adatte al fototipo, una pelle sana e curata va protetta e nutrita anche dall’interno” spiega il professore Leonardo Celleno, dermatologo e presidente di AIDECO, l’associazione italiana di dermatologia e cosmetologia.
Per una pelle a prova di sole la prevenzione inizia a tavola scegliendo un’alimentazione ricca di antiossidanti, vitamine, zinco, selenio, polifenoli, acido ferulico e altri componenti.
“Per difendersi dalle insidie delle radiazioni UV” spiega AIDECO “sono indispensabili prodotti specifici per la protezione della pelle sia in vacanza che in città: la scelta di creme e lozioni ad alto SPF (Sun Protection Factor) e prive di sostanze potenzialmente fotosensibilizzanti o fototossiche, è indice di maggiore sicurezza e protezione anche contro gravi conseguenze per la salute della cute, come tumori (melanoma e non melanoma)”.
Tempo di tintarella con l’abbronzatura sempre più ricercata con ogni mezzo e spesso ai danni della salute quando il segreto, invece, è preparare la pelle al sole in modo naturale. “La pelle d’estate va protetta dai gravi danni dei raggi UV non solo con creme adatte al fototipo, una pelle sana e curata va protetta e nutrita anche dall’interno” spiega il professore Leonardo Celleno, dermatologo e presidente di AIDECO, l’associazione italiana di dermatologia e cosmetologia.
Per una pelle a prova di sole la prevenzione inizia, infatti, a tavola: “Scegliendo uno stile di vita sano e un’alimentazione equilibrata, ricca di antiossidanti e di alcune vitamine, come la C e la E, lo zinco o il selenio, i polifenoli, l’acido ferulico e altri componenti, si può creare naturalmente unapreziosa barriera contro le radiazioni ultraviolette e aiutare a contrastare la formazione dei radicali liberi, principali responsabili dell’invecchiamento”.
Abbronzarsi a tavola
Una dieta per un’abbronzatura sana deve, ad esempio, poter contenere beta-carotene, carotenoide precursore della vitamina A, e che si trova, ad esempio, in frutta e ortaggi di colore giallo, rosso e arancio come carota, zucca, melone, pesche e albicocche. Il beta-carotene, ricorda AIDECO, è importante prima dell’esposizione al sole e durante l’estate perché è collegato alla produzione delle melanine, che costituiscono la “prima difesa” della pelle contro le radiazioni ultraviolette di tipo A e B, svolgendo, così, “una notevole attività antiossidante, contrastando i processi di invecchiamento cellulare e mantenendo in buona salute gli epiteli, in particolare cute e mucose”.
Questi alimenti, associati a quelli ricchi di vitamina C ed E, “aiutano una corretta abbronzatura”, contrastando gli effetti dannosi dei raggi UV e, di conseguenza, perdita di tono ed elasticità della pelle. C’è poi lo zinco, scudo contro i radicali liberi, ricorda AIDECO, e che assicura alla pelle integrità ed elasticità.
Sognando una pelle ambrata
In vista della stagione calda Coldiretti ha organizzato un #tintarelladay per “prepararsi in modo naturale all’estate con il sospirato colore ambrato della pelle” - che l’abbronzatura venga presa al mare, in montagna, in campagna, al lago, lungo i fiumi, nelle piscine, nei parchi, in giardino, in terrazzo, sul balcone - esponendo nei mercati di Campagna Amica la top ten della frutta e della verdura ricche di vitamina A e betacarotene che aiutano l’abbronzatura. Al primo posto ci sono le carote, spiega Coldiretti, con 1200 μg di vitamina A e “quantità equivalenti” di “caroteni ogni 100 gr di parte edibile”. Seguono spinaci o radicchi (500-600 μg), albicocche (350-500 μg), cicorie o lattughe (200-260 μg), melone (200 μg), sedano (200 μg), peperoni (100-150 μg), pomodori (50-100 μg), pesche gialle (100 μg), cocomeri o fragole o ciliegie (10-40 μg). Un aiuto a tavola in poche mosse per favorire la produzione di melanina, pigmento che protegge la pelle dalle scottature, donandole il classico colore ambrato.
Difendersi dalle radiazioni solari
Sole sì, ma senza dimenticare le classiche regole d’oro nell’esposizione ai raggi solari, come conoscere, ricorda Coldiretti, il proprio fototipo, utilizzare creme adatte alla propria pelle, in particolare dei bambini, evitare l’esposizione ai raggi solari nelle ore più calde, non esporsi al sole con essenze e profumi, utilizzare cappelli, magliette e occhiali.

Maschere doposole e rimedi contro scottature e pelle secca
Importante è anche la cura della pelle dopo l’esposizione al sole, utilizzando, in questo caso, le classiche lozioni doposole dal potere idratante, rigenerante e rinfrescante. “Oltre al doposole” consiglia il professore Celleno “può essere utile l’applicazione di una maschera o un trattamento intensivo, almeno a giorni alterni, e nel caso in cui la pelle risulti precocemente invecchiata, gli ingredienti ad azione anti-aging ed antirughe, possono essere impiegati per aiutare la ristrutturazione delle componenti dermiche”.
In caso di scottature o disidratazione esistono anche alcuni rimedi naturali, come gli impacchi di yogurth intero, spiega Coldiretti, o maschere con fette di anguria o polpa di mela grattuggiata fresca da spalmare sulle zone più arrossate.
